Edinburgh Access Panel

Edinburgh Access Panel is a group of local volunteers, each with either a disability or a professional interest in disabilities. We work together to provide advice about ways to improve accessability for residents and visitors with a disability wether their disability is physical sensory or cognitive. Our advice is based on the lived experience of our volunteers as well as on best practice standards.

We specialise in the built environment. Our panel members include architects whose input as well as the input of our disabled members contributes to the recomendations we make about issues like wheelchair access, accessable toilets, blue badge parking, and environmental design where it can affect people with disabilities.
